Reiki Monkton
“An ounce of Prevention is worth a pound of Cure.”
~Benjamin Franklin

Are you looking for a way to bring your life back to center?
A way to stay balanced, while events come at you?
A way to “keep your head when all about you are losing theirs.” (Kipling)

Reiki is an alternative to consider. . .

Why?

Because it is a good tool to have in your health arsenal. Because it is complementary to all health practices particularly modern medicine. Because we are multi-dimensional beings; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Reiki Monkton is a good place to find sanctuary. It is a safe place to connect with your center and return to power. It is from your power center that you want to face challenges and make changes.

Life is change, especially in the fast-paced 21st century! It is the task of people today to learn how to stay balanced on the wave of change.

Many people are finding that solutions from just 5-10 years ago are out-of-date. For example, medications aren’t as effective or, side effects are cropping up. Another example is; the organization of labor has changed in the new economy. We realize we are indoors too much, but it is difficult to find the time to get outside and live a healthy lifestyle as a member of today’s super productive work force. 1

At Reiki Monkton your need for change and support is understood. Reiki gently removes blocks and resistance to change. The first session focuses on clearing blocks and grounding. In this way you will connect with your higher guidance and be able to choose your path from a place of strength and clarity.

Three to six follow-up sessions for continued support can be helpful in the case of a long standing situation.

Reiki is a safe, protective energy therapy that will support you in your quest for a happier, healthier life.

What?

Reiki is an energy based therapy where a practitioner restores the balance to an individual’s aura. The aura is an energy system including the acupuncture meridians, chakras and the Hara power center taught in martial arts. Barbara Brennan, a NASA scientist and energy healer, refers to the aura as the Human Energy Field, similar to the fields discussed in Quantum Physics, because it is simpler to understand Energy Therapies like Reiki in terms of Einstein’s physics rather than Isaac Newton’s mechanics. Isaac Newton’s work is still useful in regards to our day-to day- reality of cars on the highway and pushing grocery carts, but it doesn’t help us with finer modes of energy like electicity, light, fiber optics or x-rays. In A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking describes how Einstein’s theory of Relativity came to be accepted even though it was not in agreement with Newton’s Theory of Gravity, Hawking says,

“. . . what often happens is that a new theory is devised that is really an extension of the previous theory. For example, very accurate observations of the planet Mercury revealed a small difference between its motion and the predictions of Newton’s theory of gravity, Einstein’s general theory of relativity predicted a slightly different motion from Newton’s theory. The fact that Einstein’s predictions matched what was seen, while Newton’s did not, was one of the crucial confirmations of the new theory. However, we still use Newton’s theory for all practical purposes, because the difference between its predictions and those of general relativity is very small in the situations that we normally deal with. (Newton’s theory also has the great advantage that it is much simpler to work with than Einstein’s.)” 2

A person who tunes in to their human energy field brings another level of skill and understanding to any challenge. It could be basketball, art or sales, but the human energy field is a part of our nature that resonates directly with God and all of the beings who do God’s work.

How?

We all know that Matter = Energy multiplied. Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity was published in 1905 and The Theory of General Relativity in 1916, but our everyday thinking has not changed from Newton’s mechanics, because we don’t need Einstein’s theories to operate motorized vehicles down the highway or to lift a wheelbarrow in the garden.

We understand the mechanics of using energy to move objects against the force of gravity. However we don’t think about the energy it takes as being part of a continuum of energy/matter nor do we consider the fact that time & space bend or even fold according to Einstein. We don’t have to to accomplish our tasks,3 but people who do think about it have given us computers, cell phones and the internet.4

We experience quantas of energy at work when we change the format of a document in milliseconds. We experience quantas when we perceive sights or sounds. In her book, My Stroke of Insight, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor says, “As information processing machines, our ability to process data about the external world begins at the level of sensory perception.

Although most of us are rarely aware of it, our sensory receptors are designed to detect information at the energy level. Because everything around us—the air we breathe, even the materials we use to build with—are composed of spinning and vibrating atomic particles, you and I are literally swimming in a turbulent sea of electromagnetic fields.  We are part of it We are enveloped within it, and through our sensory apparatus we experience what is.”5

When?

Now is a good time! Reiki is a means to directly experience your whole self.
With practice you acquire a facility with tapping into your inner resources at will.

Your first session will focus on clearing blocks and improving connection to your inner strength and wisdom. Three to six additional sessions are helpful in the case of a long-standing situation. As death approaches we can look back and know we created our lives as fully as possible. As Steve Jobs said, “for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”6
